Robert Schoch: Origins Of The Sphinx – (2017) 4 stars

Run time: 50 minutes. Schoch dates the construction of the Egyptian Sphinx to before the last Ice Age, pre-9700 BCE, or around 10,000 BCE. The Sphinx was not carved on the surface; it was carved into a ditch of solid bedrock.

One of the radio show hosts mentions that the original face on the Sphinx was not a lion but the dog head of Anubis. Schoch’s reply is that it can’t be Anubis because the statue would necessarily be facing west.

Findings at Gobleki Tepe show a correlation to the constellations Orion, Taurus and the Pleiades, similar to Egypt’s Giza Plateau. During the timeframe mentioned above, the constellations would have been on the plane of the Vernal Equinox.

At around 36 minutes, Schoch mentions that a massive solar outburst may have caused worldwide calamity and destroyed the advanced civilization that created the Sphinx. A lot of the solar dangers he mentions, such as CMEs and plasma discharges, the crowds from Electric Universe and Planet X also mention in their research. Schoch talks about mammalian mega-fauna vanishing right around this time. Petrified glass and vitrified rock falls into all three concepts, too.

Plato got the idea of Atlantis from Solon, and Solon got it from Egypt. That is worth mentioning! By the way, Plato dated Atlantis to 9600 BCE, if I recall correctly. Shoch does verify this date later in the talk.

The earliest statues and petroglyphs of Easter Island may be as old as the Ice Age.
